MAS local fares go up again..........

Increased average of 15% of economy class and 25% for business class..

This is the third time they rise up the price due to the "FUEL SURCHARGES" and imposing RM14 administration fee (Administartion fee also need to pay?) Isn’t that should be part of their ticket fee? Or that is another excuse of getting more money?

If like that, they can later on add on another "check in, check out surcharge", "departure and arrived surcharge"....

As stated in The star newspaper, a return flight between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu have to pay extra RM250 for an economy class ticket.

MAS managing director Idris Jala said our domestic fares still among the lowest in the world even with the fare increase.... Isn't that sentence sounds familiar?

Why not they said...."Our Salary and life standard still among the lowest in the world", i know we are not the lowest, but we are also not someone who leading in front. Some more dare to compare our flight price with the cost of flying in countries like Japan and France.

In Jan 1, MAS raised ticket price between 5% and 14% to certain international routes.

In May, it announced a fare increase for KL-Singapore more than 55% for first class and almost 20% for economy traveler...

2 months earlier increased the first and business class to US by between 48% and 167%.

With these price raise, they expected MAS will not lose money in this end of the year......

If they are the dominant....and they couldn’t able to make profit.....There is a golden word from one of the business leader..."If the business doesn't make profit, it means that is the leadership problem".

Maybe what the new management of the MAS is trying to "CHANGE". If that is their answer, then I might wonder how Airasia can survive with the low cost flight charge. I guess MAS have to do some “BENCHMARKING” with Airasia…

Benchmarking isn’t mean of comparison, as simple to say, it is learning something good from other.
